There are several different employment-based immigrant visa classifications available to foreign nationals who seek permanent residency in the United States. Each classification has its own requirements which are based either on the foreign national's unique qualifications or upon employer requirements which the foreign national meets. The classification chosen can have enormous impact on the processing time and costs involved in the process. The various classifications are outlined below.
